### Specific Project Experience:

**Material Behavior:**
Birch plywood held up well for bold, clean lines but tended to warp slightly if the cuts were too deep or unevenly distributed. Bamboo was more delicate; it charred less but required precise power settings to avoid splitting along grain lines.

**Unique Challenges & Solutions:**
One challenge was achieving consistent depth across large pieces. I solved this by pre-clamping the material and testing small samples to adjust laser speed and power. For warping, sanding the backside slightly before engraving helped flatten the piece post-engraving.

The laser’s 40W CO2 tube provided enough power for detailed work on thin materials but felt a bit underpowered for thicker stock or harder woods like oak. Precision was excellent for lines down to 0.1mm, though intricate designs required careful software scaling.

**Software Experience:**
The included design software (compatible with SVG imports) was user-friendly but limited in advanced features. I switched to Adobe Illustrator for better control over vector paths and gradients before exporting files.

**Special Features:**
The built-in dust extraction system was a lifesaver, keeping the workspace clean. The USB interface made file transfers straightforward, even without a computer.
